Jewelry Appraisals
We love doing Appraisals! This is one of our favorite parts of the jewelry business. These are the different types of appraisals that we offer:
Standard Jewelry Appraisals
Jewelry Re-Appraisals
Jewelry Inventory (list form)
Hmm, what is this? (identify and sort)
Standard Appraisals
Jewelry is weighed, measured, photographed and inspected by our Appraiser. When the appraisal is complete, you will be presented with the appraisal document and an electronic copy. Included is the information about your jewelry, as well as the current market value of your jewelry.
We do the appraisal In-person, while you wait. No need to leave your jewelry overnight.
Please book an appointment to ensure same-day appraisals.
Jewelry Appraisal Pricing:
$150 for each item
For 4 or more items, a bulk rate may apply
Jewelry Re-Appraisals
Sometimes jewelry that has been recently appraised requires a 're-appraisal'. An example of this is when an item was appraised only 2 years ago, but the owner has moved to a new city or state. Insurance companies often require a new appraisal with the current address.
Another example is to re-appraise a piece of jewelry that you inherited recently and has a past appraisal from your relative. We can update the appraisal with your name and address.
We are happy to schedule an appointment for re-appraisals. Original or current appraisal must accompany the piece of jewelry.
Re-Appraisal Pricing:
$50 for each item (re-appraisal)
For 4 or more items, a bulk rate may apply
Jewelry Inventory (list form)
For larger amounts of jewelry (from 10 pieces to 100 or more), a Jewelry Evaluation or Inventory List may be a better option. Please contact us to discuss the process and pricing for this.
Jewelry Inventory Pricing:
$90 per hour (approx 15+ pieces per hour)
Hmm, what is this?
For those times when you have a 'shoe-box' of jewelry and don't know what's in it, or you inherit a large amount of jewelry from a favorite relative. We can help you to determine which of those items are real or costume and what is the approximate value. Take the stress off of yourself and have a professional do the work!
$75 per hour
(most 'shoe boxes' take about 1 hour, however large collections might take more time. We can help you estimate the time and cost in advance.)

Get Organized with NOK Box
We like everyone to be prepared BEFORE something happens. But very often we are doing jewelry inventory and identification AFTER someone passes. It can be stressful.
If you have lost a parent or been responsible for someone’s estate, you know how many details are involved. In addition to grieving, you need to know every aspect of their lives — every bill, every account, every key, every item on the person’s to-do list that needs doing, where to find every hidden valuable, basically...everything.
How many conversations have we had with grieving heirs? They can't find this item or that. They unexpectedly found a $5k bracelet in a bathrobe pocket. The appraisals don't match the jewelry they found. All the items are in the safe, but who has the combination?
Be prepared for the unexpected and end the endless searching. Leave memories and not a mess.
What is The Nokbox and why do we are we affiliated with them? It's an organizational system that helps your Next of Kin (NOK) avoid a scavenger hunt through your files, phone, home, possessions, computer, and paperwork once you have passed away. It instructs you, step by step, on what to put inside each unique folder. It ALSO gives your NOK checklists on what to do with it all.
This is a great way to get started with all the 'paper'. An excellent gift for anyone in your life. (or yourself!)
